@velta_g and
@enolaxmetalizer and a story from the depths of my soul and psyche…
My new film ‘Fleur’ wrapped shooting today. I cannot wait to share this with you…! Immense gratitude to everyone who made this new work possible!
Fleur is a young girl who lives in a dream world. Since she was a child she loved all things pretty, dainty, and delicate. She walks around as if in a dream, in love with her beloved objects, tea cups, flowers, and sea shells. She expresses her hunger for tenderness to a degree that makes onlookers uncomfortable and even scared.
Fleur longs for a love to satisfy her increasing need for tenderness and touch. When Fleur meets Sarati, a mysterious loner who falls deeply in love with Fleur’s strange and mysterious way and dance - she comes close to achieving her dream of oneness.
Having lost her mother at a young age, Fleur holds tight to every representation of tenderness she can find in the cold, harsh world she lives in where, intellectualism and technology has come to be celebrated more than tenderness. Isolated in a cold and patriarchal world, Sarati finds immense relief in Fleur’s strange world of childlike sensuality.
However, Fleur’s appetite for her lover becomes monstrous, and her desire threatens to devour the sensitive, troubled, and vulnerable Sarati.
Fleur must learn that like her beloved trinkets and flowers, her lover can only bend so far before breaking. Fleur must learn to tame her obsessive demands on her lover, destroying her dream, that is as delicate as the flower in her palm.
