I am really enjoying taking pictures of bands, especially trying to find the little pockets of quiet intensity in between the rage and fury, the moments when the band are completely lost in their world. This band made that easy, incredible live band.
These are photos of the excellent @noisepackband who played at @banshee_labyrinth a couple of weeks ago in Edinburgh. Frantic and cathartic grind/crust ear beatings from some of the best at it here in Edinburgh. Go catch them when they next play. Or get down to Banshees and see some amazing live music. Great venue.

Naebody can ever understand anything I'm shrieking about so I thought I'd start sharing my lyrics so there's some context to the thing. This is a sad song about pain, trains and the empty comfort of nostalgia.

Another truly special evening. An honour to play with @immaturityofmovement and @canopic_ire_tattoo and a joy to have met and gotten on so well with both. It's good to find your people. Huge thanks to @braw_giamatti for bringing us all together and to everyone who came down and absolutely packed out Home Bar on a minging Sunday night in February. Screaming obscenities at people. It's not big and it's not clever, but then again neither am I. Weird to be known mainly for jamming a microphone into my face and shrieking, but it's my job and my greatest joy in life. A quick save the date announcement, Braw Gigs is back with our first show of the year on Februay 22nd and I’m very pleased to welcome Knifedoutofexistence and Geheimnisknecht to Home Bar in Tollcross, with some solid local support from R. Denham. It’ll be our first show at Home Bar, and hopefully one of many more to come - so don’t miss out.
Knifedoutofexistence aka. Dean Lloyd Robinson, head honcho of the excellent Outsider Arts label, has been performing and releasing some of the finest industrial power electronics/harsh noise for over a decade now. Stemming from the vibrant hardcore/power violence scene of the 2010s, Dean’s been crafting nonstop tapes and extreme performances under his solo noise guise. Geheimnisknecht is the dark chain mailed sidequest of Richard Carson of Belfast bruisers Unyielding Love, incorporating elements of dungeon synth, harsh noise and black metal. Many of you will probably recognise R.Denham from countless DIY gigs in Edinburgh as frontman of grindcore power trio A.V.L. and as his solo experimental moniker, so get down the front early doors!
There might be one more local support if I can sort timings out, so keep an eye out for further announcements and the ticket link in the next few days. I’m setting up a Braw Gigs notification group on WhatsApp as well, so feel free to join and spread the word once the QR code goes live.
