Rehearsal with @presterjohnguitar and @claudia.persinger.bass was a joyous high speed collaboration that burned through any and all bumps in short order. We performed 10 of my 100 duets for piano and electric guitar tonight … Shawm played the piano treble clef part on his tele and Claudia played the piano bass clef on electric bass . Sounded so ridiculously sick .
Then @kathyexploding and I did a set on piano and guitar .

I invited Ju-Ping Song and Stephen Klunk to join me for Duet No 42 and I couldn’t be more stoked about how this came out!
This is one of the “100 Duets for Piano and Electric Guitar” that I’m composing... but there was something about this one that beckoned drums, so I guess it’s a trio now.
Ju-Ping and Stephen absolutely crushed it. You could set your atomic clock to the piano performance , and check out (among other things) the cool drum build over the four repeats of measure #8
Shout-outs to Chad Kinsey for engineering the piano tracks and John Roulat for the killer mix!
And shout-outs to James Moore and Kathleen Supove who got this whole thing rolling in the first place (looking forward to playing some of these with Kathy soon), and to Derek Johnson and Shawn Persinger who are fueling this fire as well!
There’s nothing more gratifying as a composer than to have people I admire so much care enough about my music to participate in such absurdities… I am deeply grateful, ridiculously proud, and uncannily buzzed.
