Didn’t get around to posting this on Mother’s Day because I was having the best few days on tour with her, but I love my mami. She’s beautiful, smart, fun, resilient, and timeless. She never ceases to amaze me and guide me. When I look at any woman in my life who’s a mother, I think of what she means to me and it makes me smile at the thought of what they mean or will mean to their babies. Mothers and mother figures make the world go round and I carry mine within me everywhere I go.

On my third consecutive tour these past two months. Finally got a sec yesterday to revisit pics, pick my favorites, and process how special this one was. Captions are the hardest part of socials for me because it’s hard to find the right words when you’re feeling overwhelmed with gratitude and lack of sleep, but I have so much love for everyone here. Fresh off a tour with the man himself. I’m so incredibly excited to share the stage with so many friends, but mainly to be there supporting everyone involved locally and anyone who is able to make the trek out. I’ve called Austin home for the past decade or so and after many 4 hour drives to Dallas it’s a place I’ve grown to love for more than a few reasons. No, the location had nothing to do with me (I found out almost around the same time y’all did) but I am proud to share the beautiful bits I know and have seen of it over the years.
The impeccably luminescent @katacombs_ at @thescalavenue last night, opening for @frankturner . She’s going to be in Brighton, Trowbridge, Manchester and Birmingham in the next few days - treat yourselves to something special. ✨

I was asked by @_ohsisi to sing with her at the @sanasanamusica show for SXSW. A week and thousands of miles have gone by since and I’m still singing the songs. On top of all the shit musicians battle against, social media now makes us fight to be able to even use or promote our own art. Not a big deal in the grand scope of current world issues but very indicative of how little we truly own what is ours, even for independent artists.
