Micaela Taing (she/her) 陈婉莹 is a first generation Asian Canadian born from Chinese Cambodian refugees. She is a lover of community, laughter, clouds, pickles, and telling stories crafted from the beauty of the mundane. She is a graduate from UBC with a degree in Sociology and Creative Writing and currently lives on the unceded and unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation (Ottawa, Ontario).
Katlyn Olo (she/her) is a passionate advocate for 2SLGBTQQIA+ diversity, equity, and inclusion, dedicated to building more representative and community-driven cultural spaces. She believes institutions play a vital role in advancing inclusion by creating space for meaningful change and amplifying queer history and storytelling. As a Fellow in Advanced Leadership for Social Impact at Queen’s University, Katlyn’s research explores how museums and cultural institutions can more authentically engage queer communities and reflect their histories with care. She also holds an MBA from Queen’s, where she deepened her commitment to using business as a force for social change. In her role as Manager, Marketing at the Royal Ontario Museum—the most visited museum in Canada—Katlyn collaborates with a wide network of artists, curators, and cultural leaders. Her work is grounded in helping visitors understand the past, make sense of the present, and most importantly, come together toward a more inclusive and accountable future where everyone can flourish.
