ZBRUSH
Been iterating on a character sculpt I made previously, creating new clothes and accessories. Used combo of Dynamesh and Dynamic Subdiv —> dense sculpt with some Sculptris, decimated, and polypainted. Been on a decimate + polypaint kick especially when I know I won’t animate in 3D or need UV maps.
BLENDER
Lit and rendered a still img of each element individually that I wanted to animate in AE (hair, arm pieces,etc). Added materials to areas not polypainted. Additional renders: basic crow mesh with shape keys, rotating leaf, rotating feather.
AFTER EFFECTS:
Layered images with lots of keyframe transforms, and some posterize time expressions. Puppet warped hair pieces and bead images to flow~~~. Animated the rotating leaf and feather renders on a spline. Favorite part was splicing the 3D crow frames with frames of real crow footage hehe

Started as inktober prompt “laughter and screams sound very much alike” i love jesters and jewels and opulence and thought of a jester hat with the weight of a kings crown. Also been obsessed with making curls in zbrush ~~
