Ep 4 Memory Cache is a photo series of two women’s friendships, realizing their time together runs deeper than we thought. Shot through a series of over 200 photos by photographer @alliecostello and filmed on a VHS camera from the 90s to help give the feeling of nostalgia.
This episode is also inspired by Yvonne Rainer’s Hand Dance (1966), creating a frame-by-frame movement experience.

Ep. 3. See yourself in wool
Celebrates and brings awareness to the relationship between women and their clothes. The main character encounters a group of women interacting with laundry baskets and heavy loads of laundry. As the main character is immersed in this world, she pulls out a photo from a pair of pants. This photograph reminds her of a special memory.
Using clothing to reflect expression and confinement that have shaped and protected the body, but can also restrict movement, enforce societal standards, or represent imposed identities.
Shot on location in Anaheim, CA. Paying homage to screendance pioneer Blondell Cummings.

Distant Images features a predetermined set of episodes that can be viewed independently, out of order, or in order within a limited season. The episodic dance series weaves various modes of seriality. The episodes’ attributes obtain recurrent central characters and explore linear and non-linear narrative structure and spatiotemporal (relating to space and time) discontinuity.

Eddie 👵🏼 is a self-portrait exploring the intersections between the physical and digital realms, creating a layered reflection that loops between reality, memory, and identity. The piece is rooted in my memory of my grandmother, who embodied simplicity and contentment in her daily routines.
I remember her on the phone, chatting with friends, reading the newspaper in her rollers and scarf—moments of peace and control within her small, intimate world. The telephone and lamp in the piece are mementos I inherited after her passing and symbols of her presence as the quiet
and strong beauty she radiated.
In some ways, I realized that the persona I’ve created here is not just my grandmother but also a reflection of myself.
