This work is a glimpse into our deepest reflections, contemplations and negotiations as kin. We meet ourselves through each other, honouring the collision of lineages that exist within and around our bodies. An intimacy of shared knowing and understanding tended to through love and trust, and articulated through movement. This work was created and performed on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin nation. We acknowledge and reflect on what it means to be making art during these violent times globally and locally. For us this work is full of heart, truth and story as we move with integrity and consideration for the communities and people that raised us, surround us and the waters that we come from. We honour the collective resistance and strength for liberation and freedom for all Indigenous peoples, lands and waters. Free free Palestine. To all the beautiful friends, mentors and collaborators that are always there to challenge support and inspire us, you’re all epic! TOGETHER 🌀 Footage of some movement, yarns and belly laughs from our time in residence at @ausdancetheatre on Kaurna land last month. A glimpse into the beginning seeds of this new work in development co-led between @ameliaa.jeann @bella_waru_ @dannicook__ and myself.
