Made this series ‘Supervillain’ for Showtime a while back to explore how society was beginning to shift into the digital age of “manufactured celebrity”. Wanted to look at how in this new online existence, our views, clicks and shares ultimately create and grow these toxic cultural icons.
Never shared anything from the project till now. Feels like we’re fully living in that reality today.

Excited to be curating “Ice Cold: An Exhibition of Hip-Hop Jewelry” for the American Museum of Natural History with @vikkitobak@coachk44 . The Ice Cold project began years ago with the Ice Cold Doc Series (2021) + Ice Cold Taschen Book (2022) and uses jewelry to explore how our society perceives materialism, creative expression and ‘The American Dream’. Proud of everyone who helped bring it all to life and this exhibition will be the final chapter in the Ice Cold universe (opening May 9th at @AMNH ).
Featuring pieces from Slick Rick, Jay Z, Notorious B.I.G, Nicki Minaj, Erykah Badu, A$AP Rocky and Tyler, The Creator - to name a few. Thanks to the advisory board and everyone allowing their art to be part of this historic exhibition.

Directed a new project on Tyler, The Creator for @hulu
‘Breaking the Mold’ is a story about perception, identity and the stereotypes that American culture placed on hip hop over the years. The idea that rappers (or anyone) should feel they need to exist within a certain ‘box’ is a myth.
Tyler is really one of the most visionary artists of our time.
Congrats to the whole team who worked to bring this to life.
