This film has been a five year journey, documenting not only Dato Tay's living legacy and the evolution of his batik practice, but also the unexpected relationship that formed along the way. In tracing his process, I found myself tracing my own growth. Learning, unlearning, and expanding beside him.
@klartbookfair continues to be a rare space that honours stories, craft and community.
