If you’re planning your next big show, workshop or events, you might want to stop guessing and start looking at when people actually click that ‘checkout‘ button. It turns out, Malaysians have a very specific ‘buying mood’ you know la kan.
📊 The CloudJoi 2025 Audience Report
We dug into the numbers so you don’t have to. Here’s the how people spent their money last year:
🟡Saturdays are for shopping: This is the peak. Nearly 20% of all tickets are bought on Saturday. Monday is the complete opposite, everyone is probably too busy catching up with emails to think about a weekend show.
🔵Lunch break hours: Between 12 PM - 2 PM is your prime time. While people are waiting for their food, they’re scrolling and booking their next outing.
🔴3AM are for heartbreaks, not posting: Unless you’re targeting night owls who don’t spend money, save your energy. Sales almost completely flatline between 2 AM - 6 AM.
⚪️Payday peak: Sales spike around the 5th and the end of the month (29th–31st). Basically, once the salary hits the bank, the ‘book now’ finger gets itchy. (i’m guilty)

Meet Rumah Penghulu Abu Seman! One of the oldest surviving traditional Malay houses in KL.
Most people drive past Jalan Stonor every day without realising this 100++ y/o Malay house is even there. Fr. Date back to the early 1900s, this stilt house belonged to the village leader of Mukim Bagan Samak in Kedah. It was rescued in 1996, taken apart piece by piece, and moved to KL without using a single nail.
This May, you can step inside it through a guided tour, learn how it was built, and see how people lived back then. In conjunction with @klfestivalmy , @heritagemalaysia and @openhousemy has created a special heritage package. Tour the house for RM10 (Malaysians) or RM20 (non-Malaysians), then head over to Open House for lunch at RM59 with KL festival special voucher.
