Look 1: #B6746 view E (I made mine 2.0” longer than the pattern), this was the second sewing project that my class made. I picked this amazing leopard print cotton from @thewasteshed ! I also made a matching headband to match.
Bonus look: There was a Faculty Appreciation Day Luncheon and knew my #v2040 wrap dress was perfect to wear to the occasion.
Look 2: Patchwork look I made out of 10 years of fabric scraps using @moodfabrics Spearmint Corset #mdf310 and a self drafted adjustable skirt. I have a video explaining the self drafted skirt on my page.

My friends and I go to @chicagofashioncoalition “Chicago Does the Met” every year. For this event I always challenge myself to either revamp a look I already have or make one with reclaimed/upcycled materials. 🪡🧵
I thrifted the black decor fabric back in January at @purplemanateeresale and decided to make a look based on costume history to align with the exhibit itself. I wanted to go with a more Middle Ages inspired look but there was not enough fabric for that so I went with a mid-century inspired gown since I know I would get another use out of it for a future pinup pageant. 👑
The green fabric was white organza curtains that were laying around my house that my assistant Hunny Dog and I took apart and dyed using @ritdye Peacock Green Dyemore Synthetic Dye. 🦚 Which turned out to be the perfect shade of mid century green. 💚
I picked up the embellishments for the @aibichicago Fabric Sale! 🥰
