📣 MCAST has just opened a call for Artistic Content Proposals for its 4th Edition of KampuSajf titled ‘Playgrounds for Emergence.’ 🎨 Happening from 6 to 8 August 2026 at our Mosta campus, the summer arts festival, which is produced by MCAST and supported by APS Bank, provides a flexible setting for performances, installations, workshops, and interdisciplinary projects. 🎤 As this year’s festival coincides with the MCAST 25th anniversary, the event, which is curated by artistic directors Elyse Tonna and Justin Galea, opens its doors to artists, collectives, and organisations working across disciplines of visual arts, music, theatre, literature, and film. Selected Participants will receive funding, along with production support, rehearsal space, and access to MCAST facilities. Applications are open till 30 April 2026. Read more and Apply. KampuSajf 2026: Artistic Direction Announcement 🪩🌟 KampuSajf returns for its 2026 edition, marking 25 years of @mcastmt 🎉 This year’s festival is led by Artistic Directors Elyse Tonna (@elysetonna ) and Justin Galea (@just_galea ) whose practices span curating, architecture and visual arts, alongside music, performance and live production. Working across different fields, their collaboration brings a shared focus on interdisciplinarity, process-based and site-specific work. Titled ‘Playgrounds for Emergence’, this edition turns attention to the early stages of artistic practice: the space where ideas are tested, developed and begin to take shape. The MCAST campus is approached as a ground for experimentation, opening up classrooms, workshops, gardens and transitional spaces as sites for making, exchange and encounter. A little throwback to day 2’s festivities⚡️
 Żummara (@funkymonkey141 @rea.malta @orfew.mt ) filled the space with sound and community, while @pep_walls transformed campus walls into living art. 🎨✨ The night carried us into the powerful words of @trumpetweenink and @samalekksandra , embodied by @diellza_ilgner @lukebugejagauci and @luigi_buhagiar . @vella_sarah and @banjo_rancho lit up the stage later in the evening with raw movement and rhythm. 💫 What a ride — KampuSajf was a dream, and you made it unforgettable! 🐟🐠🍁Life in a fishtank🐟🐠🍁 By @pep_walls This mural it is been my artistic intervention to Kampusajf 2025: Gathering of Possibilities, a celebration of art, dance, music and culture in Malta. The mural was painted live during the three nights the festival lasted. This mural features a new line which tries to break with my most conventional illustrative style, fragmenting any reconisable shape into an abstract dance of broken paintings. It is been an honour to be part of this edition of the festival with this artwork, and I am very gratefull to our artistic director @elysetonna for allways supporting my work in Malta. @kampusajf ajf is a production by @mcastmt with the support of APS Bank, @icentre_malta , and Comsec.
