Kwanphitcha Kongsaeng’s solo show - ‘Just Like Heaven (If It Doesn’t Feel Like Hell)’ comes to an end on February, 8th, 2025. in-tangible institute extends heartfelt gratitude to the visitors and contributors who joined us along the way. While the #moistmap workshop has ended, the process still continues. In the meantime, I’d like to share some art, food, and friends that me, @pietrolocasto and @anusorn_tunyapalit discovered in the city of Chiang Rai before heading back to Chiang Mai. Thank you for the warm welcome at @hangpui the space is sooo lovely 💛// Visited Somluk Pantiboon’s Silent & Violence exhibition at Singhaklai House, where the café’s ice cream is always my favorite. // Google Maps suggested a shortcut to CCAM, and we were crazy enough to take it (which we weren’t the only ones, actually! 😂). Finally, thank you for the welcome drinks, although it’s was peach tea but for me it still look like beer 🍻 😵‍💫

Thank you everyone again for joining the opening night of my curatorial project ‘Just like heaven (if it doesn’t feel like hell)’. Thank you @in_tangible_institute team, @zoembutt who trusted me in leading this project, @earngg_et our special guest who brought in the connection of community work though music and especially our superb artist @kwphch who jumped into the abyss and take on the journey of unknown with me—I truly couldn’t done it without you all! Just like heaven (if it doesn’t feel like hell) will be on view from now until January, 26th at in-tangible institute, Chiang Mai. You all are much welcome to visit us (but please make an appointment in advance!) and discover the stories of invisible people through our art. (ภาษาไทยดูที่ช่องคอมเมนต์) Meet the artist and curator of ‘Just like heaven (if it doesn’t feel like hell)’ ! in-tangible institute welcomes local artist Kwanphitcha Kongsaeng and curator Kamonpan Tivawong to inaugurate its Project Space. Our Project Space invites emerging artists to work alongside an emerging/established curator, towards an intimate showcase of art that demonstrates conceptual flair with discursive depth. Such an invitation is extended when funds and time permit. Learn more about their project - see link in bio. About the artist: Kwanphitcha Kongsaeng (b.2000 in Phayao, Thailand) explores the cause and effect of migration, critical of the impact of such displacement and the socio-economic challenges tied to its circumstances, both to the human and non-human world. Predominantly embracing painting, mixed media and installation, Kwanphitcha is guided by the sense of sight and touch in her use of material, understanding such senses can operate as symbolic metaphor prompting recall of particular memory, in particular time and space. Kwanpitcha hopes her viewers look closely at her artistic experiments, which often hold hidden tales or demand particular physical interaction. About the curator: Kamonpan Tivawong (b.1995 in Sukhothai) is a photographer with a growing interest in curating and writing. Kamonpan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Photographic Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University. As an observer of social and environmental movement, she is interested in the interconnectedness between human and non-human agency, exploring how these relationships shape cultural identity and resilience in a rapidly changing social context.
