Last summer we made this film for Fondation des Femmes in the aftermath of a case in the Netherlands. It was absolutely devastating. This project was about creating awareness about the simple fact that women should feel safe. Everywhere. Always. Grateful to everyone involved making this. After being screened on the opening night of @kortfilmfestival Leuven, in several small cinemas, and for hundreds of university students in Belgium, our precious film Un Matin is now traveling abroad. We’re incredibly grateful to be selected by @dramafilmfestival in Athens!! What an honour! With this wonderful news comes a bittersweet note: unlike us and our film, it's not always possible or safe for our dear actors to travel. So honoured to be part of the official selection at @kortfilmfestival Leuven, with Un Matin opening the festival on 29 November. ✨ Shot on 16mm, Un Matin tells the story of four people without legal residence, searching for work in Brussels. During 11 minutes, we’re invited into the van that takes them to an unknown destination, sharing in their journey and uncertainty. Making this film was a delicate, emotional experience. What Love Means Love is inexplicable. It is a complicated tangled mess that we navigate ourselves through in order to maintain sanity. like food, air, and water, love is a basic necessity for all human life. This film written and directed by @ines.vm_ is based on a poem by @emiel.lenaert that celebrates love in the queer community. It hopes to challenge us to show compassion and compersion towards those that struggle to freely communicate and express their feelings of love.
