I’ve been extremely privileged to study at both AFI CIW and ASC masterclasses. I got the chance to learn from the best, most brilliant cinematographers of our age. Autumn Durald Arkapaw forever impressed me as one of the most knowledgeable, passionate and talented cinematographers of our time. Autumn is an artist who can dissect what each frame should mean, represent and feel, and the same time knows exactly how it should be achieved technically. Autumn deserves to be the first woman to ever win “best cinematography” oscar. She is the best ❤️
Having a political science education pays off sometimes.
As a russian-american citizen i’m absolutely shocked how people don’t understand that Trump is killing American democracy by giving an absolute power to new american oligarchs.
This quote sums it up perfectly:

I never really had a grandmother, both of them passed away when I was very little. Grandma Lina became my Sicilian grandmother that I had always dreamt of. Extremely funny, witty, and she made the best manicotti in the world. Unfortunately, she passed away on Christmas eve. My heart goes to everyone in Nicky’s family. I will miss you forever but we will see each other one day in Heaven, so i’m not saying goodbye. Love you, Grandma.
