𝑨 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝑺𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 (2025) ⁂
is a collection of nine solo piano works that explore resistance, resonance, and space with spectral sensitivity. These pieces are nocturnes, written deep in conservation in Winter, and are of a period of refuge from maximal sound. We find 𝘪𝘯𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘳𝘩𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘮 here - that is, temporalities inherent to velocity and pitch combinations, to frame space, time, and action.

ECHOES 2026 opens tonight at 7pm with a concert by composer and musician Kara-Lis Coverdale.
The Canadian composer has toured concert halls, festivals, and clubs throughout Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia.
She will present her album “A Series of Actions in a Sphere of Forever”. Her work contains nine pieces for solo piano. Inspired by the solitude of night, a spectral clarity emerges through a delicate minimalism. 👻
This will be followed by the premiere of the performance “The Weight of the World” by Ed Atkins.

Marie Davidson made one of our favorite albums of 2025, City of Clowns, and now she’s here to tell us about one of her favorite albums of this year, Kara-Lis’ ‘A Series of Actions in a Sphere of Forever.’
“We live in a world of a constant noise, and a lot of music these days is overproduced and very loud,” Marie says. “This to me stands out because it is different and it’s beautiful.”
