Trump Throws a Toga Party: Exploring the Autocrat's Embrace of Neoclassical Architecture
Tuesday, February 3rd
5:30pm
Free
This talk, accompanied by visuals, will focus on the tendency for autocratic regimes to embrace the neoclassical style in architecture, with an emphasis on the new (one year old) White House edict that all new federally-funded buildings must be executed in the neoclassical style. Never before has the government named a style, much less insisted upon it. Why?
Opportunity for questions. Some refreshments available. Saunas and pools will not be open.
