my default response to recognition, compliments etc is to be self-deprecating and deflect, but I’m not going to do that this time, I’m going to accept it and just say thank you. thank you @ymbawards and @aim_uk for this award.
entrepreneurship ain’t for everybody (and that’s ok) - it’s a never ending learning curve with high highs and low lows. I feel very blessed that essentially my love for sharing music, telling stories & connecting people has turned into the most unexpected, multi-faceted, rewarding career.
over the years Forward Slash has expanded from just strategy to delivering campaigns end-to-end, studio productions, educational products and now 1-on-1 consulting - partly because I saw gaps that needed to be filled in the market, and partly out of necessity in such a rapidly changing industry. some L’s, some Ws - it is what it is.
I think the biggest lesson I’ve learned to date is to be clear on your vision and be willing to evolve and adapt when the things out of your control change. basically, stay on your toes while staying ten toes down.

my favourite time of the year in London and the only time I’ll make the international voyage to west London without complaining.
the place where you can be dancing 1 metre away from your peoples and never cross paths, or where with every other step you bump into people you haven’t seen all year. didn’t get nearly enough videos but the vibes was right 💜
