Director @k.osswrites Writer @latinadirector Actor @iveeba Actor @serg.gavidia DP @fjuarezdp Intimacy Coordinator @_juliabelanova Director Kay - “As a Director in the RomCom Workshop, this was a game changing experience! Working with an intimacy coordinator elevated everything, from rehearsals to filming to even just communication on set. As someone who is moving forward directing her first feature (YAY!), this was just the thing I needed to gain confidence in my skills, learn new ones, and have fun on the way! I mean, to have someone else secure the location, cast talent, hire crew, schedule it all, curate a selection of scripts for me to pick from, all so I can focus on my responsibilities as a director? That’s almost unheard of in the indie world! It was such a relief to just come in and play. Yes, there are still plenty of challenges, but with less to worry about, you can really focus on just your role as a director. And I’m so pleased with the final edit - I’m sharing it with everyone! Continuing RomCom Workshop 3 through the @ladirectorslab with the second half of our directors! 🎬 Director @munwalkr Director @emmyloudiaz Director @k.osswrites Writers @latinadirector Actors: @moon_chola @freshfreckles @kanashimanuki @mdot_serrano @iveeba @serg.gavidia DPs: @trebetts @andressacor @fjuarezdp In this workshop, we brought in Intimacy Coordinators as many directors & actors have yet to work with one or even if they have, still are unclear about their responsibilities. We had our IC’s break down what their job really entails and all the ways they are there for the production, not just the actors. While we shot intimate scenes with the safety of IC’s on set, we all learned so much from them! They brought a world of understanding to safety and comfortability on set during intimate interactions and that’s the core of what this workshop focused on. 🙌🏼 Shoutout to our Workshop 2 Intimacy Coordinators: @vividlyintimate @_juliabelanova Thank you to these 2 for their time, support & education into the world of working Intimacy Coordinators!
