Went to see Dick Whittington at Beamish last week and had SUCH a lovely time!!! Been recommending it to EVERYONE!
If you're anywhere near Beamish, today will be the last show so GET YOURSELVES THERE!! (Can't believe I didn't manage to post earlier 😭🤦♀️)
It's brilliantly written by the amazing Porle Miller and expertly directed by Lisa Powell, I found it to have the perfect balance of modern references while also still feeling like a welfare hall community production from the past! The set, props and costumes are all made in house and they are BEAUTIFUL! The cast are all Beamish staff and volunteers, you could absolutely tell they were having a great time and as a result, so was I!
Would definitely recommend seeing it today if you can, but if not then definitely keep your eyes open for future productions because you won't be disappointed!!!!
It was also only 50 mins long so yakna! 🎉
