I’ve always viewed Chinatown as a place of resilience and survival. $10.50 Beef Laksa mixes a brutalist surrealist style with 2000’s nostalgia to celebrate the resilient yet overwhelming hustle and the inaccessible Asian-ness of Chinatown that I experienced as a teenager (embarrassing 2000’s Justin Bieber fringe and purple flannel included).

@artpharmacy and @sugarglider.digital have utilised the prominent Victoria Cross concourse location and curated 12 digital artworks that follow the narrative of an ‘urban oasis’. The artworks are located in the pathway of a thriving and modern transport hub, with multiple viewpoints and interact with Sydney Metro’s digital artwork ‘Sundial’ by my cousin @Indihanlee and Michael Thomas Hill.
