This is 'silk water'. On exhibition at Manly Regional Art Gallery & Museum @magamnsw , as part of the 'Art of Adaptation: culturechanges everywhere'' a survey show of Kandos School of Cultural Adaptation, on till June 7. It's been a long time since I've exhibited work in a gallery, and in fact it's something I've done very rarely! Despite the nerves, installing 'Silk Water' at @magamnsw , alongside beloved fellow travellers of @ksca.land has been such a treat this week. And feeling close to mum, her beautiful silks from her batik days, left behind for me to experiment with and start a creative journey with water as medium and muse. The KSCA survey show opens tomorrow... marking 10 years of heady artistic adventures around land, nature, culture, community, possibilities for change that are always simmering away. We are thrilled to be finalists with the Land Studio project! A lovely feeling revisiting memories and themes of care, connection and regeneration on Country.
