Tim & Barry’s Top 100 - #68 // DJ ASSAULT | JUST JAM 092 // Mar 19, 2013 - Tim: ‘First thing I remember about this @justjamlive is being super excited. @djassault1 's a legendary figure. I don't know what vibe I WAS expecting, but he was definitely a vibe. Back then, health and safety might have been somewhat… loose. Lots of people had come down to see him, so we probably had, like, 50 or 60 people in the studio, everyone was smoking, and it's like a live stream, and he was literally supposed to go straight on, But he walked in the room, and he was like, “I can't… I can't be here. It's too smoky.”… back then, London definitely had a more smoky vibe, shall we say, in the States, I think you'd never been able to smoke in clubs. And so he went and sat next door. And we had to get the DJ that was on to carry on playing for an extra half an hour, whilst we opened all the windows in the studio. Tell everyone that was smoking to put whatever they were smoking out, to try and clear the room of all the smoke. I seem to remember, he came back in once and was like, “nope, still too smoky”. he came in the second time, THEN he went ahead and played. And he absolutely smashed it. He finished the show with, probably his most iconic tune, Ass and Tiddies, And basically, at the end of Ass and Tiddies, as it was fading out he went … “Tim and Barry, Tim, Tim, and Barry. Tim, and Barry,Tim, Tim, and Barry”...it's one of those moments where I just got shivers down my spine, and I was just so gassed that he'd said his most iconic line as “Tim and Barry”, it just seemed a bit surreal. We came into the studio the next day, hungover, and an intern - who shan't be named - had got in early, and diligently worked on the show. And they’d deleted the end where he says Tim and Barry. They thought it was just… not important. Deleted that off the end. Not only did I delete it off the end, but deleted the file.’ Barry: ‘That was very tactful Tim…Do you remember who the intern was?…’ Tim: ‘A diligent young intern named ….…’

Tim & Barry’s Top 100 - #78 // DJ SPINN & DJ RASHAD | JUST JAM 051 // Apr 30, 2012 - Tim: ‘This was the second time that @djspinnteklife and Rashad came on @justjamlive , the first time being in 2011, a little while after we'd come back from Chicago - filming the documentary I'm tryna to tell ya. One of the things about Chicago and Teklife is that the prominent colors are red, black, and white. You see it everywhere, sports teams, there’s even a footwork dance crew called the Red Legends. So we decided to just keep our visuals quite minimal (something quite uncommon for us at the time), with logos and visuals that we had that were red, black, and white. We were so excited coming back from Chicago, it had been such an amazing trip, and It felt like it was era-defining music that was being made, and there was such a great energy between The @TekLife57 crew and the @justjamlive / don't watch that crew. We were having so much fun doing this stuff, and I think you can see that. One thing I do remember looking back is that Rashad keeps on coming into the back room, where we did all the live edits and the visuals. And about every 15 minutes, you'll see Rashad nipping in, in a cloud of smoke. I just remember that the show got more and more… hazy, shall we say. Barry: ‘After the show Tim and I rolled with Spinn and Rashad to Coco’s, because they had a gig there right after the Just Jam set’ Tim: ‘We literally went door-to-door, and when we arrived there, they got straight on the decks and just banged out another outrageous set’. Barry: ‘However, as they were setting up, I got a call from my wife saying that someone had just broken into our house, she found them in our bedroom and he jumped out on her, so I ended up leaving the show and rushing back to her and my 2-year-old, so I didn't get to see them play at all at Coco's, which was obviously gutting, but they clearly smashed the Just Jam as you can see.

Tim & Barry’s Top 100 - #88 // JME X BIG NARSTIE X PREDITAH | JUST JAM 117 PT8 // Mar 7, 2014 Barry: ‘Classic @justjamlive set, this was supposed to be at the @barbicancentre concert hall. But the city police shut us down five days before the show due to safety concerns…’ Tim: ‘…Everyone got released from their contract by the barbican, But we decided to try and still do it, and we had lots of people reach out to us saying, “do we need a space?” Did we wanna… sell tickets and still do it. We decided to, like… not do that.’ Barry: ‘Do you remember the conversation about who was gonna come?’ Tim: ‘Yeah, Roughly, go on…’ Barry: ‘...After a number of people had offered us spots we decided to go with @93feeteast , And this is, like, 5 days before the show, so we had a chat, me and Tim, about who was still gonna come and perform, and who wasn’t… What did you think, Tim?’ Tim: ‘I thought about 50% would come. I thought you said everyone would.’ Barry: ‘Yeah, I think I was slightly higher, wasn’t I? I thought everyone would show…’ Tim: ‘I mean… @rp_boo_official and @litebulbfootwork from Chicago, @nadus from New Jersey, @djmarfox from Lisbon, @osouleyman from Syria…’ Barry: ‘...Yeah, JME from Tottenham.’ Tim: ‘Hahahaha, Yeah.’ Barry: ‘the whole lineup came through, didn’t they? It was amazing. And then this set, they absolutely smashed it. It was a real highlight of the evening, a sort of a celebration. We thought it was going to be a difficult one, but yeah, it was just amazing. Tim: ‘@kuruptfm were there as well. We always used to riff with them because we were really into their show, and we’d been talking to them since they were just on YouTube. They’d appeared on Just Jam a couple of times, I think, by that stage, but whenever they’ve been on the show, we’d always give them something to riff with, and at this one, I remember saying to them before, “Instead of it being the barbican, why don’t you guys think that instead of the barbican show being cancelled, the barbecue got canceled.” So they’re sort of saying, “I thought there was supposed to be a barbecue,” like, “no, the barbecue got canceled.” ’ Barry: ‘Genius.’
