@nadus is one of Jersey Club’s most inventive architects and enduring ambassadors. You can catch Nadus, in Brooklyn, this Thursday, at Nowhere’s first rave, in the basement
@paragonbroadway going back2back2back with Ballroom pioneer
@theonlymikeq and the Jersey Club Kid
@djtiga . Entry is FREE until midnight‼️
Born Rashon Bright and raised in Newark, New Jersey. In a city often defined by struggle, yet powered by a fiercely original, community-driven Club culture, Newark’s premiere Club collective
@brickbandits was where Nadus was first exposed to Jersey Club around age 12.
Nadus gravitated towards Club Music’s raw energy and participatory spirit. By high school, he was already producing, DJing, and promoting parties — learning firsthand how music could bring communities together.
Working closely with the likes of Brick Bandits’
@djjayhood @djsliink @djfresh973 , Nadus sharpened his skills while contributing to the sound’s subsequent generation that followed on from Jersey Club OGs
@djtameil @dj_tim_dolla and
@mikevceo .
That same instinct for community-building led him to co-found
@threadimprint in 2011, initially a wild Newark-based party collective that later evolved into a focused imprint with global reach. Thread became an important platform for showcasing the breadth of Newark’s Club and Ballroom scenes while hosting forward-thinking DJ-producers from around the world.
While Jersey Club remains central to his identity, Nadus’ music is defined by curiosity rather than boundaries. Drawing inspiration from Baltimore Club, Chicago Ghetto House, Footwork, and global Dance music mutations, his productions reflect a deep understanding of Club Music’s roots and its future possibilities.
