The Trevi Fountain ⛲️✨Flowing since 19 BCE, with its Baroque sculptures completed in the 1700s, this iconic site marks the end of Rome’s Aqua Virgo aqueduct — named after the maiden who led soldiers to its spring. Legend says a coin tossed over your left shoulder ensures a return to Rome. Over €1 million in wishes are collected annually and donated to charity.

Visited the Altar of the Fatherland (Altare della Patria) in Rome—built between 1885 and 1935 to honor Victor Emmanuel II, Italy’s first king. In 1921, it became the resting place of the Unknown Soldier. One unidentified fallen soldier selected to symbolically represent many, representing all who died unnamed in World War I.
Though the monument celebrates a founding leader, its heart is the tomb—where history shifts from power to humility.
