A look into our process — this motion textile collection debuted at @japanhousela , where centuries-old weaving traditions with our partners were reimagined through a custom code and design pipeline.
We used a custom workflow combining machine learning for image clustering and pattern generation, creative coding for real-time color and material simulation, and high-fidelity 3D visualization to explore each textile’s behavior in motion. Woven surfaces were captured through light-reactive photography, cloth simulation, and motion design, revealing how texture, structure, and light interact dynamically in space.
