Today I’m releasing the final two Junior Bloomer songs, recorded last year with @oxfordryan at @centerforsoundlightandcolor . Art, identity, and the call to create are complicated things. This past fall, I realized that my identity as it relates to music had shifted. I felt the most amount of internal pressure to create, and do it well, while simultaneously experiencing the least amount of creative drive in my life. I was left feeling a little lost and confused, unsure of what to do next. I’ve been a musician and songwriter since I was 12. It’s a huge part of my identity. And yet I felt like I was being urged to let go. So I did, and with that I’m off pursuing new aspects of myself and new modes of creative/artistic expression. More on that another time. For now, thanks for listening to Junior Bloomer.
