I wrote this song around this time last year. I was shivering on my way to the studio and missing the summer. I kept picturing a trip I had taken with @jenniferjoygoodwin and wishing I was back there. On our trip I had written a bunch of lyrics that in my head were to a Frank Sinatra-esque tune I’d never actually make. But on this drive to the studio I realized those lyrics were an opportunity for me to put those memories into a song I could bring with me anywhere at any time. And instead of this being just a song about a trip we had taken, it became a song about holding on to the memories that can keep you warm with love when you need it.
