Blasted Out Sequence, Blasted Out Visualizer. Many who’ve seen @teethkidsxo live over the years know I create a series of new destructive sequences for interludes between every song, every show. Sometimes those interludes become full songs, like 2 on our upcoming record, and sometimes they are just a jam for me. This one’s for me hehe. Mod Wheel and Slider doing most of the performance work. Working on trying to make my RYTM videos for YouTube less standard “clean shot on a desk” and trying to capture some of the live visuals/album art of the tracks themselves. This is my first attempt at trying Fragility 2.0 era visuals and timing glitch animations to the beats so still learning!!! But as my social anxiety and physical health continue to tank this year, this is giving me another avenue to stay starp w presentation/performance musically. Ily Trent ily fragile ily YOU ALL. Simon you will always be with us, Teeth Kids, and me. I don’t know what saying anything can do, but have some things important to say about how wonderful they were to/with me in our last few years of friendship. There was THE moment Simon helped soy and I find THE electronic bug sound that’s become a production staple for me since. 15 minutes before this take, I was in the hallway crying from OCD crash out at not nailing the velocity of the patch, and they told me to take my floor time, come back in there and just go crazy.as a volatile woman and especially musician, Simon talked me down many dumb ledges of giving up/shutting down. Simon would let me show up on recording days I had no part in, for weeks. I had full access to their keyboard collection during breaks. They taught me how to reamp an analog reverb tank on drums/vocals. They let me destroy studio fridges supply of non alc beverages. They’d talk from the hallway during lunch just to keep the studio gluten free zone during recording. We’d walk on brutal hot summer days to brew brew for a cold brew that was barely frosty by the time you got back to the space. They sent me nin memes that god my ass so good, only to then reveal how much nin lover they were too. I’d do anything to talk to you about an ARP2600 again buddy. Simon made me realize so much about what it means to be a working musician, why multi production wheelhouse skills need to be at your disposal, fuck your ego, and to just be a great fucking friend that makes you laugh. There are so many days I wish I showed up kinder, our month last summer was a dangerous one for me, and they were one of the very few safe things.
