Spring has sprung, and my month of moving hell is almost halfway over, and you have a couple opportunities to see my pretty face in the meantime before i can be a person again for real:
- 5/17 @ 1pm @ Cobra Lounge for Ragbagalia’s post-fest brunch, with Faerie Dream, Please Return, Bonfire Madigan and Charming Ritual
- 5/24 @ 9pm @ Cole’s with Blasfemme and Journey Rhoades

Solo set @collider___ with @savethenightchicago last night was really great, incredibly cathartic, an incredible capstone to this run of shows with this setlist. I didnt take photos after my set because i was exhausted but @fighting_island and @girlxpanic were both fantastic and im really glad I got to see them both. Stay tuned for our next two-piece show coming in the summer, with a nice collection of new and familiar songs.

I’m really excited for this show, we’ve got a rlly good set put together - making these songs has been an opportunity for me to funnel a lot of grief into a nice vessel, and playing them live is a wonderful opportunity for me to break that vessel over everyone’s collective heads. we’ll be playing with @dumbsucker666 and @june_doom AND i’ll ALSO be pulling some bass and dj duties for @pootytangers at the end of the night! Dear friends,
We are so excited to present to you “no one there but me”, our first EP. You can listen at the link in our bio. We have been working on these songs, and others, for some time now, and are so glad to be showing them to you.
On November 4th, 2022, my father, Jose Villanueva III, died due to complications arising from his MS, a condition he had been living with for nearly 20 years. I wrote these three songs over the year that followed, along with a number of others that might see the light of day eventually. It is hard to describe the experience, even in song. These barely scratch the surface. The Last Living Finch began as a vessel for that grief but as we have grown together as musicians and creative collaborators it has grown and evolved into many other things as well. I cannot overstate how glad I am to be showing these songs to you. Please enjoy, and fly safe ❤️

Today my band @thelastlivingfinch played our first full-band show! It was so exciting showing some dear friends and family what we’ve been working on recently - im also really excited to say that we will be releasing some music soon! Our first couple songs, “The Moment” and “The Deer”, will be released on bandcamp before the end of November. I cannot wait for yall to hear it :)
