Fourm is a compact and powerful 4-voice poly synth equipped with a custom designed Tactive™ polyphonic aftertouch keybed. It combines the warmth and punch of two analog, voltage-controlled oscillators and the recognizable character of vintage Sequential analog filters, drawing on design cues from the venerable Pro~One monosynth. The result is a classic, warm, organic-sounding subtractive synth with a hard-hitting modern voice. #Sequential

Sequential Artist Spotlight: @christian.nourijanian New artist interview featuring the Trigon-6: Christian Nourijanian is a native New Yorker, pianist, keyboard player, organ player, and private music educator. Christian has shared the stage with artists Justin Jesso, Gavin Turek, Hank Azaria & the EZ Street Band, The Knocks, 50 Cent, Questlove, Raye Zaragoza, Richie Cannata (Billy Joel), St. Lucia, Ricky Byrd (Joan Jett and the Blackhearts), Max Weinberg, Arlissa, Blu DeTiger, Mree, and more. Whether it’s on the stage, in the studio, or working with private students, Christian continues to grow as a musician and artist. We chatted with Christian on how the Trigon-6 is used in his music: "Over the years of doing session work, there were always DSI/Sequential synths in various New York City studios that I was able to use on records. I thought the workflow was very intuitive and the sounds were amazing. At this time I owned a few different synth brands but never felt at home for what I was trying to achieve sonically and technically. I subbed in my friend’s indie pop band, and they were using Sequential synths all over their records and also using them on stage live. After that I knew that Sequential was the synth I wanted to own and use. I think the Trigon-6 is the best of many worlds with 3 oscillators, its simplicity yet massive sound, and sweet analog tone." Sequential Artist Spotlight: @jaspertygner New artist interview featuring the Prophet '08 and Prophet Rev2: Jasper Tygner is a producer, DJ, composer and multi-instrumentalist from North London. Shaped by early raving experiences growing up in London’s electronic underground scene, Jasper cites legendary institution Plastic People, along with a deep reverence for Jungle, dubstep and garage as key formative influences. With his early releases on Shall Not Fade and Needwant along with a two-part release on Silver Bear Recordings, Jasper is taking solid leaps with his solo project and progressing as a producer and DJ alike. Recently Jasper released his debut album 'Blue', The record features collaborations with Art School Girlfriend, Kaeto and rising newcomers holybones. We chatted with Jasper on how he uses the Prophet '08 and Prophet Rev2 in his music - full interview can be read at sequential.com/jasper-tygner [Sequential] What made you choose the Prophet ‘08? [Jasper] I bought The Prophet ‘08 with all my money in second year Uni. I didn’t really have a clue about synthesizers and had just seen videos of James Blake and Mura Masa using it, so I thought it must be good – I could never have dreamed it would become such a core part of my sound. [Sequential] How has it shaped your sound over the years, including your new album? [Jasper] For a while it was my only synth, and it’s been right next to my desk for years now, so it’s the first thing I switch on, and I just gravitate to it now. I’m so used to its sonics and workflow. It’s a pretty happy accident that I bought it, and I can’t really imagine making music without it. For the album I used it on every track – it’s so linked to my sound and how I want my synths to sound now. For Blue I’ve been running it through either my Sherman filter bank or a borrowed Vermona to add some extra goodness. #Sequential #SequentialArtist Photo Credit: Zac Watson

Imperfections are the interesting bit with beats. Been messing with the Sequential Fourm, polyphonic aftertouch means every note can be slightly different. That human element matters to me more than perfect playing (clearly 😝).
