We had a fantastic time performing Britten and Mozart in the Christopher Rowland Ensemble of the Year prize on Monday. It was such a joyful evening of brilliant chamber music and we felt so lucky to play alongside our friends in other ensembles 🫶
We were thrilled to receive the Audience Prize 💐 (thank you so much for voting for us!) and we are over the moon for the Morelia Piano Trio who were the evening’s winners! 🏆

We had such a blast playing in Burton in Lonsdale today for the Concert and Cakes series! Here’s the third movement of Haydn’s Op.20 No.4 which is always a party! (especially when you know there’s cake afterwards 😋)

The atmosphere in this prize was so open and heartwarming, we loved watching all the wonderful performances, and having the opportunity to showcase compositions by Elena and Estelle - we played Elena’s song ‘Elephant’, and Estelle’s piece ‘To Grow’ with @evamaycelllo singing with us.
We were very lucky to receive the prize alongside the amazing Basically Quartet, who blew us away with their performance!

I’m very happy to say that this very exciting concert is happening on 16th June in Manchester Cathedral. We’re raising money for the incredible @foemanchester with an afternoon of music reflecting on the climate crisis, some written by Shaw and Beethoven, and some by members of our quartet. The lovely @evamaycelllo will be joining us to sing too. Also a big thank you to @rncmlive who have kindly supported this project through their ‘Green Fund’.
If you would like to pop along, you will be warmly welcome both just to listen, and to share your own thoughts about climate change. The concert is free and un-ticketed, but donations to the charity will be much encouraged.
