I grew up in the 909 wearing Vans to every show. My entire family wears Vans. It’s been emblematic of our lives immigrating to SoCal. When my grandparents left Taiwan, they brought a handful of items and that black vase was one of them. I’ve stared at that vase my entire life and grabbed it on a whim running to set. My history informs so much of my present life and what I find inspiring, and this project w
@vans has been where it all comes together. Feeling so proud of this one! It’s hard running a small business and not knowing if our story is landing w anyone. Everything from the casting, to the orchid, to the chenille patches, to the talented crew has been a deliberate choice. I’m so happy to work with friends and continue to share our stories.
