One Less Traveled An exhibition of sculpture at LongWoods Preserve. June 22, 2025 – May 15, 2027. Opening Reception: June 22nd, 2025 4:00 – 8:00 pm (rain date: June 29th) Wander at LongWoods Preserve, 76 Longwoods Rd, Cumberland Center, ME 04021 WANDER at LongWoods Preserve is pleased to announce the opening of this unique sculpture exhibition: One Less Traveled features sculptural artworks by 23 artists spread across 54 acres of open farmland, forest, and riparian habitat alongside the East Branch of the Piscataqua River in Cumberland Center, Maine, 15 minutes from Portland. This biennial exhibition, curated by Joshua Reiman, highlights artists using a wide range of mediums whose work embodies whimsy, wonder, positive energy, fantasy, and exploration. These thematic works on view will raise awareness between the body, landscape, and the environment; with intertwined stories using stone and cast and welded metal sculpture, sound, installations, and landscape interventions. Each artwork will be sited and carefully curated, revealing a sense of play and meandering through a guided landscape. Artists included: Anne Alexander, Vivian Beer, Eleanor Brown, Nelson Bruns, Quinn Cotnoir, Matt Crane, Linda L. Cunningham, Jenny McGee Dougherty, Josh Dow, Sam Finkelstein, Folly Tree Arboretum, Mae Kenny, Andrew Ellis Johnson, Napoles Marty, Chris Miller, Ed Parrish Jr, Wills Phillips, Torin Porter, Jesse Salisbury, Julie Poitras Santos, Ben Spalding, Aaron T Stephan, and Ryan Wight. LongWoods Preserve is open to the public 365 days a year for walking, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. The Preserve’s trail system wanders throughout the property and complemented by Whistle Cat Farm. Admission is free and plenty of ample parking is available on site. The Trailhead can be accessed at the WANDER at LongWoods parking lot. LongWoods Preserve is a family-friendly space. All are welcome. A public reception with the artists will be held from 4:00–8:00 pm on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at WANDER at LongWoods, a unique farm-to-table restaurant & event venue offering tasty food and beverages. 76 Longwoods Rd, Cumberland Center, ME 04021

This summer I worked for @humaniummetal to destroy and melt down 100’s of guns from police departments around southern Maine. This project was challenging. It was layered in politics, super dangerous, tons of hours, and emotional in ways I never imagined. I made some big mistakes. I learned A LOT and in the end completed the project. I wanted to thank my team who did this alongside me. Big love and respect to @greenfoundry @ryan.w.wight @fastandfullofteeth @transchildcoalminer @tmcph @thaoswhatever @artarchival and my son Ole who helped out when he could. All my love to my biggest supporter, soothsayer, and critic ❤️ @capitula who is my life and ❤️ I could not have done this without you.

So great to write about @ogwadojoachim for the September / October issue of @sculpture_magazine Joachim is a young artist from Uganda who won this years @intsculpturectr innovation award. His work synthesizes performance and thoroughly handcrafted objects made from plastics found throughout his hometown. This contextually driven work is a potent reminder of how histories mesh with our evolving climate crisis. Ogwado 💯✨🌞

What a wonderful opening @portlandmuseum for @jeremyfreybaskets 🎉 It was a true honor to make the film for this exhibition with Jeremy over the last two years. Brilliant work my friend. A true labor of love and great skill. Also the first solo exhibition at a museum in the USA by a Passamaquoddy artist! Traveling to the Art Institite of Chicago and the Bruce Museum over the next two years. Big congrats to @jld2230 and @rameymize The exhibition and catalog are exquisite curation and writings. Thank you both for trusting me with this project. Congrats Jeremy! You did it! 💯🪵✨
