Been meaning to share ☺️🪷:
Earlier this year, I was in the Faroe Islands and woke up one morning extremely sad about some loss I’d experienced. I decided that morning that I was only going to talk to Jesus about my grief, that’s it…no socials, no texts, no calls. I cried, asked Him for help, and felt no judgement. It was like He just sat there with me.
Later, my fam and I went out to sight see, and let me tell you how He showed up. It was as if our day was tailor-made with my fave things to lift my spirit. There were 🐑 everywhere. The ⛰️s brought tears to my eyes. We got on this 🛥️, made friends, and there was ☕️ and 🥮.
THEN our friend drove us by this small pond that is apparently one of the last you can drink from directly. I asked to stop; he did, and I drank the FRESHest stuff ever. YOU GUYS, it felt like I was inserted right into Psalm 23😭, still waters and green pastures everywhere. My circumstances didn’t change, but my perspective did! I never want to forget how this felt like such a direct answer to prayer.
✨This is not meant to diminish the value of talking to others but, instead, to reassure you of the power of prioritizing prayer! If you are feeling sad, truly talk to Him, and look for His help. He is super loving and understanding 💚

For me, finding the romance in life doesn’t mean ignoring the realities of it; it means finding the beauties in the small and even the hard things. That can be difficult especially during moments when I feel overwhelmed or too isolated. But, in those times, God can and has revealed himself and his goodness as the only true joy. Ask Him and He’ll show up in one way or another. That’s love, and that’s romance.
