May 1st is the official kickoff of our busiest time of the year!! We are jumping right in, feet first, into a weekend packed with a bridal shower, @thediningroom_gsc Backyard wedding with our friends @butter.kc and then Day of Coordination @oakwoodcc_kc It will be a crazy weekend, but we are ready!!! And then it’s just as busy for the rest of May!

The trend that we can get behind is providing your guests with an “experience.” This allows you to really embrace the theme of your celebration. We encouraged the guests to create their own personal tea blend. We provided all of the necessary elements needed. Tea bags, loose teas, and numerous add ins, such as lemon slices, lavender, dried fruits and spices. Guests were allowed to make as many blends as they wanted and then were provided with the cutest take home container. @craftynelliekc designed a unique paper that adorned the box and made it personalized. Nellie also created all of the signage for the tea bar, and it was perfection!! You couldn’t have a tea party without cookies and we were so fortunate to have the most precious assortment from our friend @fountaincitysweets The set up of the tea bar trays, stands and serving pieces were provided by @goodstuffchina we truly have the best collection of rentals! When designing this tablescape became a reality I knew immediately that I wanted to use all of my collected treasures. Incorporating these items make it personal , unique and they are conversation starters. Acquiring all of these pieces has taken me on several adventures throughout the city, with memories that are joyful and I love to relive. Just when I think I don’t have it in me to come up with something new, or doubt my creative process. I get inspired to push myself and bring my best. That is the greatest gift of collaboration, it forces you to rise to the occasion. I have a fear of disappointing others and myself. The best part of collaborations are the friendships, the experience with other creatives and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment, of achieving something magical.
