That’s a wrap! Just a small snippet of 13 years of stationery. On what would be LYL’s 13th birthday, it seemed like the right time to officially say see ya later to the wedding world.
Going all the way back to photos from 2010 was 🤯. What a ride. I don’t know what else to say, except thank you for being a part of this journey and huge part of my life. It will forever be honor to have worked and collaborated with each and every one of you - clients, families and vendors.
As for what’s next - I actually started a new journey with a company I worked for before diving into LYL in a bigger capacity. The timing of it all was meant to be. It’s been nearly 5 months and I couldn’t be more at peace with the decision. After many years of hustle and grind, it’s provided a space of simplicity and contentment. I found myself pouring into others happiest days without focusing on my own. As a wife and mom of young kids, it was a scary realization. So if you’re finding yourself with that feeling of burn out…don’t forget to fill that cup. We all know the saying 😊. and I’ll be cheering you on from afar!
I’ll likely have another post or two as I have several stand and wall pieces I’ll be selling. Other than that, you can find my husband and I doing projects over at @laseralligatorkc . And who knows what the future holds..I have some other ideas churning in my brain that may come to life one day.
Thanks you, friends…your support along any part of this journey will forever mean the world. 💛

And on the last day of September, I completed my final on-site installation (for awhile, at least!). And I am so grateful it was for Alyson + Kale.
They married at the iconic @nelsonatkins in Kansas City and we introduced this in their wedding suite with a custom sketch of the museum and a shuttlecock that popped back up in various day of stationery.
Alyson truly embraced the museum by wanting to incorporate the works of specific artists that are on exhibit at the museum. Her and her aunt curated a specific list of who she wanted to feature. During one of our meetings, Cori @thisiscomposure talked about playing off of the style of museum signage that you traditionally see at art museums to reference the artist, medium, etc. I couldn’t get it out of my head..it was genius. The Nelson-Atkins graciously provided us high res images of all of these works and viola. Each table was a different artist and piece, and the artwork “description” were the guests names. It was a true honor to help bring these amazing visions to life!
Alyson + Kale, I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity and thank you for being my final install. It couldn’t have been for a better couple. This will go down as one of my favorites. Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Joyce!
When your wedding is in an iconic location like Union Station…it must be highlighted!
Kiralyn had such a fabulous vision for her Seating Display…embracing the history of Union Station and the core purpose of being a train station way back when. A “Now Boarding” board and vintage train tickets ushered guests to their seats. You can see it go from digital mock up to the real thing.
Cheers to Kiralyn and Dustin! It was a true honor to work with you.
And with that…wedding 4 of 6 on the farewell tour is in the books!
Is this not the most perfect color palette for a summer wedding?! Isabella and Jackson’s Seating Display was the sweetest — inside each envelope was not only their guests table assignment, but a personalized note to each person. We even scanned and digitized their signatures for an extra personal touch. Love is in the details!
Thank you for the opportunity to work with you. Cheers to the McNeals! 🥂
That’s a wrap on wedding 3 of 6 in the farewell tour.
Started the day off at the beautiful Kansas City Country Club for Jenny + Eric.
All their details were so chic and classic, and a super fun custom build for their photo backdrop!
Hot tip: When doing a double-sided menu piece, alternate sides when placing them so guests catch on that there’s details on the front and back! The couple write a sweet message to their guests on the opposite side their menu cards.
Cheers to the Savios! 🥂
A peek at a few of the signage details for Baylee + Cody!
Let’s take a moment for Hank, shall we? What a cutie! Even better - Cody’s grandpa did that illustration. When they mentioned it in our last meeting, I told them we absolutely have to use it. What a special detail.
Everything was SO beautiful, so classic and it was an honor to work with this sweet couple. Cheers to the Gillespies! 🥂
Hard to believe there’s now only 5 weddings left on the “farewell tour”, and this was my last time working at the beautiful @thebardotvenue .
Warning: A small novel and big news ahead…
After nearly 13 wonderful years, the time has come to take a step back from custom wedding stationery.
Life is so wild. Had you told me at the beginning of this year that the 2nd half would bring such transition, I wouldn’t have believed you. At the same time, things have a wonderfully weird way of happening just as they are supposed to.
While there’s a 1001 things that played into this decision, at the core was a balance for my family. Business ownership was never on my radar, and when I decided way back when to give this a go, a big part of it was to also offer the option of flexibility to be for our young, growing family. And while it did, I’ll be fully transparent and say it also felt hard and something I really struggled to find..especially the last few years. After a tough spring/early summer, the stars aligned and an opportunity came about that I knew was meant to be my next chapter.
I am very, very thankful for this journey, proud of what I grew (to that clueless twenty-something making fake suites to show potential clients — ya did alright, kid) and all that has come with it…all the highs and even all the lows. All it has taught me..and all the people. That last one being the biggest. To have worked with so many couples and their families will forever be an honor. To have some of my dearest friendships be with fellow vendors will forever have a special place.
I will also forever be proud to have been a part of THIS wedding industry…right here in KC. It is truly magic and full of some the most hard working, creative and dedicated people you’ll ever meet.
I’m looking forward to seeing my last clients special days come to life through the fall and may share some peeks into those details, but have stopped taking on any new clients and would be more than happy to refer you to my other amazing stationer gals.
To all that have been a part of this wild ride…thank you. I 100% would have never made it here without SO many of you…my family, friends, clients, planners, fellow vendors. So 🥂 to you and thank you for being a part of this chapter with me! 💛💛💛

A little peek at the install of Kate & Alec’s seating board! The boxwood wall was the perfect backdrop, in the perfect spot up on @thebardotvenue rooftop for cocktail hour.
The KC skyline made an appearance as a graphic accent throughout their stationery, and I love that you can see it’s reflection in the acrylic.
Cheers to the newlyweds! 🥂
Had to snap a few quick pics of Brooke & Matthew’s GORGEOUS reception while on-site for set up yesterday! The soft blues, the beautiful blooms, the string lights on the patio…such a dream.
Congrats Mr. + Mrs. Petrikin!
A little peak at Carly + Shaefer’s oh so chic Seating Display from last weekend.
One sign with nothing but mirror gold acrylic text. 🤌🏼
Thank you for the opportunity to work with you!
Woops! I didn’t intend to neglect these squares of mine for over a month but alas, here we were. And a crazy June starts this weekend, so I apologize in advance if you don’t hear from me again until July. Here’s to summer wedding season!

Shannon + Devin
A little BTS. They didn’t exactly plan to have their wedding fall on the same weekend as the NFL Draft, but they fully embraced it, adding nods to a historic KC weekend while still keeping their fabulous speakeasy 1920’s vibe alive. It was an honor and a true joy to help bring their visions to life! There were so many fun elements that were introduced in their Save the Dates and carried all the way through to Day of Details.
Thank you both for the opportunity! 🤍
