10+ years ago i took a chance. I shifted out of ME in college to a degree that I felt more in line with a music career. Actually, ever since then all my major life decisions have always been with the band in mind. My day jobs should always give me the flexibility to still pursue a career in music. Medyo limited tuloy options ko because of this but it's something I've come to accept. Mahirap siya kasi it's like I'm working 2 full-time jobs 🫠 so saludo talaga ako sa lahat ng mga nasa creatives and entertainment industry!
A year ago I was so close to giving up music. I guess dahil andami kong sinakripisyo for this, lalo akong linamon ng pressure to "make it" kaya ang taas din ng expectations ko every time may bago kaming release and projects. So I thought to myself, I might as well give it one last push just so I could say to myself na I gave it my all. Whatever the result is, tatanggapin ko na lang tapos recalibrate na lang ulit. It was honestly a very difficult time. My insecurities would affect my personal relationships with the people closest to me. I didn't like the person that I was becoming.
But when I took a chance all those years ago, I didn't just take a chance on myself. I took a chance on my friends, who happened to be my bandmates as well. Mahal na mahal ko kayo @overoctoberph@joshbuizon@canlasjoric@stalefrybits@antonrod_ 🥹🥹 Thank you for keeping me grounded and holding me accountable for my actions. And of course kahit na last year lang tayo naging close ulit, maraming salamat @katrinaeliza_ it feels like I've known you for a lifetime HAHA
Last year when we decided to be independent, it felt like we started all over again. Pero minsan, 'yun pala talaga ang kailangan no? When you go back and do things again from the start, you'll realize that things are much simpler. You're a much wiser and experienced person than you were when you first started. And this time around, you're not doing it alone.
Kaya ok lang umulit! Kasi sa susunod na Ikot mo, isa ka nang mas ganap na bersyon ng sarili mo.
