I have a hard time living in the present. I have a hard time not focusing on the past and planning for the future. I have a hard time saying, “I love you.” It makes me feel indebted to others. These make me less able to cherish where I am at the moment leading me to regret my past and feel nostalgic, which feeds the cycle. This song is about that. I also post it celebrating shifting the genres of music I create and embracing the imperfect, because that is life.
