🚨 NATIONAL CHAMP 🚨 New dad Andrew Colley (@thecolleyllama ) crushed it this morning at the US 25k Championships in Grand Rapids, Michigan, averaging 4:46 pace on a windy day to win in 1:14:00 and capture his first US National Title! Dad strength is real! 2:09 in his last three marathons, the latest with a 40-second pit stop at 30k in Seville. Marathon breakthrough incoming! Big thanks to coach @peterrea1 for his mentorship and phenomenal plan to get Andrew ready! And thanks to Andrew’s other half, 2:25 marathoner @tristinvanord , for holding it down with LJ as he was on the road! 📷: 1-3: @urimiscott 4: Post-race interview 5: hospital shot with Tristin and LJ

Boston 2026. What a weekend! Ryan Ford (@ryanford_chevy ) had his big breakthrough here last year, running 2:08:00. He returned this year and clocked 2:05:46. Big thanks to the @on OAC crew for all the support they've provided and to @joe_klecker for the miles logged with our guy. Carrie Ellwood (@carrie.ellwoody ) did what we knew she could: ran a 9-minute personal best, clocking 2:22:53. Thanks to @coachkastor , @mammothtc , and @asicsrunning for their belief in her! Amanda Vestri (@a_vestri ) planned on racing the World Road Running Champs last fall, when that was canceled we pivoted to the NYCM where she ran the fastest debut by an American woman in history at the storied event, 2:25:40. In her second marathon on Monday she clocked 2:24:49, becoming the first US athlete in history to run 2:25 and 2:24 in her first two attempts at the distance. Thanks to @brooksrunning for their support of this young superstar and to @mountainroche for the plan. Paige Wood (@paigestoner11 ) ran a very solid 2:26:34. A good step for her on this course. Shoutout to the @hoka @naz_elite crew for their work with her! Turner Wiley (@turner_wiley93 ) followed up his 2:09:27 runner-up performance at the @marathonproj (a PR from his 2:11:55) with a solid 2:10:16. Thanks to @brooksrunning for their support. Sara Hall (@sarahall3 ) had a jammed weekend with the release of her book “For the Love of the Grind” (order now, it's an amazing read!). She didn't have her day out on the course, but her build was very solid, and she’ll be ready for the next one. Thanks to @asicsrunning for the love and for the book event in Boston! Colin Bennie (@colin_bennie ) didn't have the day he wanted (2:14:05), but he’ll be back. Thanks to @brooksrunning for their continued support. Double amputee, Marko Cheseti (@markocheseto ) won his category again in 2:56:36! Given his build, I was amazed at his result. My guy, @mikewardian , paced his buddy, @mattvosburgh , at @baklinerunning to his first sub-2:40 in Beantown. Mike had already logged 180 miles the week going into Boston in his @teva ’s! Big thanks to @teambaa , @jackflemingbaa , and @mks4 for going above and beyond every year! Until next time!

Our agency had the second and third-place finishers at the USATF Half Marathon Championships yesterday, Carrie Ellwood and Annie Rodenfels, respectively. I am gutted for the athletes affected by the on-course mishap and for the Atlanta Track Club team. I also understand the precarious position this places USATF, given their published selection criteria for the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Copenhagen this September. The USATF selection procedures state that the top three finishers at the National Championships will earn automatic selection to the World Championships, with one additional at-large spot going to the top-ranked athlete in the World Athletics global rankings (full criteria below). Should any athlete on the podium decline, USATF will then fill those spots by order of finish, up to the fifth position. Earlier today, I had conversations with both Carrie and Annie. Both athletes prefer that the rightful team of Jess McClain, Emma Grace Hurley, and Ednah Kurgat be named to the team representing the Stars & Stripes, as it was a foregone conclusion that they had the team spots locked up, given their lead and proximity to the finish. I’ve had conversations with USATF today as well and understand they would be going against their selection criteria, as Jess (ninth), Emma (twelfth), and Ednah (thirteenth) finished outside the top-five designation. There is the spirit of the law and the letter of the law. This is a case where the spirit of the law should prevail. Doing the right thing matters, and as a former athlete who has been on both sides of lead vehicle mishaps—as the beneficiary (New Haven, 2000), and as the punished (Air Force Marathon 13.1, 2011)—I understand what the athletes are going through now. This is an opportunity for USATF to name the rightful podium to Team USA. Should any of them decline, Carrie and Annie would happily step in, be ready roll, and do our country proud. 🇺🇸

There’s nothing like working with those who inspire you. I met @sarahall3 in 2004 in Mammoth at a running camp, while she was a standout at Stanford. A few years later, we were teammates on the @mammothtc . I’ve seen her battle around the oval and have been with her throughout her 26 marathons. In 2015, she had a disappointing debut; two weeks later, she bounced back and led the US team with a top-20 performance at the World XC Champs. Bouncing back has always been her superpower. Sara isn’t one to talk about her accolades, but I will. She was the first athlete in California state history to win four state cross country titles and was the Foot Locker National Champion in 2000. Fast forward 26 years, and she’s the only athlete in US history to win professional titles from the mile to the marathon, and is the fastest Master’s athlete in US history. In 2019, she ran 2:22:16 in Berlin; six days later, she won her third straight US 10-mile title. A third in Chicago, a second in London, an American record in the half-marathon, a 2:20:32 marathon—as good as all of that has been, it pales in comparison to the person she is and the impact she’s made. Sara exudes love. The impact she’s had on her daughters and with my guy, @ryanhall3 , is immeasurable. That will be her legacy. The records are on loan, the olive wreaths are passed to the next, the contract money is spent, but the people we impact, and how we made them feel, that endures. Sara has done that better than anyone. After disappointments, I’m often holding her bag, watching her smile as she takes time for a conversation and a selfie with a stranger. She knows she is not defined by a time on a clock; running is something she does, but her worth isn’t determined by how fast she runs between the curbs on a Sunday. She knows she is loved by God and she lets that love pour through her, filling those who cross her path. A true superpower. I’m thankful for her dedication to her craft, and thankful to @asics for their 20+ years of support. Sara, it’s been an honor and a privilege to be part of your journey. @icarriecox and I are so thankful for your example and the impact you’ve had on our lives. Godspeed in Tokyo.

Happy Birthday to the love of my life, @icarriecox ! I love you so much! Thanks for always supporting my endeavors, for partnering with me in business and life, and for the love you show our kids and all who know you. You are one of a kind, a Berkeley Mathematics grad, NASA Space Camp nerd (and Moffett Field alum), and despite that, you never cease to amaze me with your energy and desire to engage people. Thanks for modeling kindness, for loving me so well, for becoming a Padres nerd, for loving good conversation, and for being totally good sitting in silence. People say love is a marathon. Being married to me, you have proven that mile after mile, day after day, that your grace isn’t slow — it seems to catch me daily. To me, your love is more like a heartbeat—quiet, steady, and impossible to ignore. Your love is essential and what makes our house a home. We’ve been all over the world together, and seen beauty far and wide, but the most beautiful thing in the world is you, and my favorite place to be is wherever you are. I can't imagine this life without you. Happy Birthday! . …. … ♾️ (We’ll celebrate again next week when I'm home from Seville. 😁)
