@maratondesevilla !
My first trip under 2:10 for my 10th career marathon:
1. 2:24:48, 2020 Olympic Trials
2. 2:14:41, 2021 Chicago, 9th
3. 2:10:54, 2022 Boston
4. 2:15:23, 2022 NYC, 10th
5. 2:11:34, 2024 Olympic Trials, 9th
6. 2:10:14, 2024 Chicago
7. 2:12:40, 2025 Boston
8. 2:15:17, 2025 World Championships, 28th
9. 2:16:53, 2025 NYC
10. 2:09:47, 2026 Sevilla
It’s felt like I’ve had a sub-2:10 marathon in my legs since 2022, but despite a handful of top 10 finishes at Majors and the Olympic Trials, a 2:0X eluded me. I’m a big believer that consistency leads to breakthroughs. And while I won’t call a <:30 PR a breakthrough, I’m hopeful that dipping under the 2:10 barrier will serve as a mental breakthrough.
Coming off my fourth marathon in 10 months, and the busiest past 12 months of racing since maybe college? I’m looking forward to a nice break as Christine and I get ready to welcome Baby Boy in a couple weeks.
