Having the space to take time and reestablish your work is always rewarding. There’s nothing new about who I am or what my work is at its core, but the mode and the intentionality feels different. I’m running with something atm and if I say nothing ever again, don’t ask me about it 🤷🏼♀️

2025 was a year of such conflicting feelings. I do want to take a moment to acknowledge passings from the year. My grandfather passed a couple days before Christmas 2024 and then Feb. 25’ we lost my Oma. In Jan a plane crash devastated the east coast skating community, and as the year went we lost family pets, colony cats, and I will say I haven’t cried this much in a year in a long time.
Even with great sadness and loss, I was lucky to experience my friends doing such fun and beautiful things. Engagements, weddings, birthdays, shows and debuts, new business ventures- all these things kept me sane and grounded this year so thank you love you loads 🫶🏻

Thanks to everyone who showed up in the cold! Truly was not my best skate I’ve ever done, I was so pumped with meds and was at the beginning of a cold. This video from the day before sums it up nicely 😅
Onto the next. I really cannot wait till more auditions start filling in the season so ALT lists aren’t absolutely overflowing…
Thank you to all performers for sharing your art and passion to us! Years of practice and dedication eventually boils down to this moment or mere minutes.
It’s pretty to watch figure skaters perform, we forgot the work behind it. The injuries, the falls, the expenses both financially and mentally.
