And only a few weeks after demonstrating the skills needed for Pre-Freeskate, I’m proud to recognize Elizabeth Brasa-O'Sullivan as having achieved what I call the “Black Belt” of figure skating, Freeskate 1. As in martial arts, this only represents mastery of all the basic skills, but as it is the first time one of my private students has achieved this level under my tutelage, I am especially proud of her!
