@punyavisuals wrote this movie, got together the best cast and crew around, and we shot it in a weekend - what a time 🎬🎬
Writing music for a movie about music got us really involved with the storytelling and led to some fun cross-culture collaboration (sitar rock?!). And then being on camera and workshopping script - this was a labor of love for all of us 🙌🏽🙌🏽❤️

5 songs from material love, reimagined for 5 players.
Since writing this music, before we released it as material love, we’ve been playing it live. We started playing it in small bars just the two of us, arranging the songs for guitar and voice. From there we added @adam__hull , @seanniecampbell and @pilotmfx into the mix, one at a time, each time allowing the music to evolve. This live album and film material love (live from somewhere) shares this living, breathing alter ego of our music, as captured late last year.
@adam.j.hahn threw together the video production pretty last minute and captured the moment in a way that’s more electric than we could have imagined. @chipinthebigcity and @adam__hull conceived a drapey, liminal space and created a dreamworld out of a blank, white-walled living room.
We had only a few hours to record this whole session, so often didn’t have time for second takes. We didn’t have much time to rehearse. But somehow, everything came together right when it needed to, with urgency.
