Snap crackle and pop sampling, with some instrumental jams on top. Made this sometime in spring last year and never posted it. Sat on it like so much stuff I make 😵💫 I get stuck in a loop of overthinking that stalls my creativity. I'd really like to try and change that going forward.
Good news is I'm getting into the swing of enjoying making again since the new year started. Trying to forget about outcomes and just make for the sake and enjoyment of the process. Hope to have some new music out this year. Let me know if you dig it? ✌🏻 💫

This is my interpretation of Can Crwttyn y Gwartheg and other Morgannwg Drover melodies from Edward Williams' (Iolo Morgannwg) collection 1797 and later Maria Jane Williams 1837.
Beautifully given new life by Leila Salisbury @prifysgolbangor .
The story goes that Glamorgan drovers, instead of herding their cattle by force, shouting and sticks. They would walk backwards in front of the animals singing and playing their whistles. The cattle were so intised by the music they would follow the drovers all the way to the English border.
