Nothin to it but to do it!?
I’m joining a rad crew tomorrow for day 5 of the Rukus to Relief 500 mile bike ride from Rukus skateshop in Lafayette to Relief Skate Supply in Panama City. W’ell be doing a cool 89 miles tomorrow.
The purpose is to raise money to give skateboards to kids. Skateboarding has been a huge blessing in my life so it’s cool to have the opportunity to do something like this to help pay it forward.
If you’d like to donate or follow along check out @danielbarousse page. I’ll try to post some stories tomorrow if I’m not dying.
Huge thanks to @cretintownsendhomes for helping to make this possible!

Not 6-7 but 67! Just wanted to let y’all know that we haven’t given up on the dream of having safe spots throughout the city for people to ride skateboards and other wheeled vehicles. Seems like there’s a real need for it but I suppose I could be biased. We still have the funds to build the first one and are still putting in work to make it happen. Just wanted to let y’all know that we all appreciate everyone that showed up for us the last few years. We’re not going anywhere. Gotta go the @pensacolapolice are coming!
I think that sometimes the smallest things can make a big difference. It’s heavy out there for a lot of people. I’m gonna try to do better at this and not be as self absorbed and in my own head all the time.
It’s pretty wild that the American Magic HQ is in Pensacola now. If you’re anything like Mic or Drew, go follow @americanmagicteam to actually understand what I tried to explain here. Turns out Pensacola Bay is an incredible sailing venue. Stoked to see the sailing + foiling scene keep growing around here.
Brian Wilson sent me this last night and told me to tell everyone what’s up. He’s off IG for a bit. He said life’s good out in Texas, but he’s definitely missing Pensacola and moving away made him realize that the little scene we have here is pretty special. I’m grateful for all y’all that make it what it is also. If anybody wants to shoot Brian a message in the comments I’ll make sure he gets it. 👊🏼📈🙏🏻

Thanks so much to everyone that helped last week, and to @_waterboyz_ for opening their doors because of bad weather! THANK YOU to everyone that spoke up at the public forum about the removal of the Chimes Way Skatepark. So proud of our skate community here! Chimes Way is a county park in district 3. We will be meeting with commissioner Lumon May soon and working towards a solution. We are also still advocating to have Gull Point skate park rebuilt, and have our meeting Feb 12th at the gulf breeze rec center to gather input about the future of the Gulf Breeze Skatepark. Show up, speak up, and let’s build these spaces together. 🙏
(Please comment and tag yourself here if you spoke!)
