It’s been a busy few weeks here at PATCH NYC. First, we had the closing of our Boston brick & mortar shop and the subsequent move from that space. Then, one week later, we had the opening of “Painting with Light” a group exhibition featuring six still life photographs by our own John Ross. Phew!

Ross paints the most humble objects with his camera, using only natural light and careful composition. The result? Flowers that hold dreams, memories, moments, awe.

A Closing & an Opening:
First, the closing: great big THANK YOU to everyone who visited our Boston shop for our final open weekend. It was a treat to see so many familiar faces who stopped by to say HELLO. We’ve received beautiful flowers, delicious sweets, thoughtful cards and numerous messages. It brings us great pleasure to know that so many people enjoyed our little shop in the courtyard and, quite frankly, we are overwhelmed by the outpouring of kindness.
And, now, the opening: we are pleased to share that photographs by our own @johnross.art are included in the upcoming gallery exhibition PAINTING with LIGHT: Contemporary Photography and the Legacy of Looking curated by Robin Hauck of @misstropolis_og
