Same time, same start. A church comes to give out food along the trail on 3rd Sundays so I for one am excited to continue to see people helping people.

Check out the Possum Kingdom website to learn more but you definitely know the song and have seen hells gate before. Way back in 1989, the Dallas/Ft. Worth based band, “The Toadies”, formed as an alternative rock genre group. Their best-known song is "Possum Kingdom", and its lead singer and rhythm guitarist, Vaden Todd Lewis, wrote the lyrics. The song’s lyrics are macabre, and paint a picture of a serial killer who lured a young lady into a walk around to a bathhouse on Possum Kingdom Lake, and murdered her. “The Toadies” released “Possum Kingdom” on their Rubberneck album in 1994.

While our portion of the project concluded a couple of months ago and we’re now working with The Loop (@theloopdallas ) on permanent improvements informed by the demonstration, one thing has continued week after week: the Cottonwood Run Club by @friendsofcottonwood
Started by Johnny Wise (@johnny_d_wise ) and Rachel Mukweyi (@runandserve ), the club was launched during the Cottonwood Creek Trail activation and has continued to build momentum. Their regular presence is key to keeping the trail active, visible, and accessible to the community. It’s proof that when you invest in people, the impact lasts far beyond the project.
