Wonderful morning with @amptrunning and all my running friends. Woke up early to help set up the event. Had a great time jumping in and helping in all the places. Started the 10k and ran the first four miles with Stacey R. We had a blast. The last two miles I kicked into gear to finish strong. The humidity and warm weather this morning was no joke. Thankful we didn’t get rain. My sweet mom volunteered this morning. Way to go mom! It was so nice to see so many friends running today. Way to go guys!

Had so much fun at the Rose City 5k today! my first 5k in the books.
Marathon training has had a lot of tempo work and increasing time at higher paces and today I channeled that. I wanted to give MY all with a goal of hitting between an 8:00 and 8:30 avg pace as that is what I have been doing my tempo runs at.
I finished in 25:20 with an 8:10 average pace and my best mile at 7:53. (Garmin time was a little off for whatever reason but we got our official chip times in) Slide through to see my shock when @garminrunning alerted me to that accomplishment 😂
Twas a very beautiful day for a run in PDX and I’m so thankful to @missladymorgan for inviting me! Special shoutout to @taylor_lorraine8 for cheering me on even though she was yelling for me to run faster and I was literally RUNNING FOR MY LIFE

In my 30s and realizing some of the greatest gifts in life are the friendships that stay with you through every version of yourself 🤍
Different seasons, different chapters, different versions of me and somehow these girls found me exactly when they were meant to.
Now we’re traveling for races, making memories, laughing nonstop, and cheering each other on through life one mile at a time 🥲
There’s something really special about friendships that grow with you. The ones that feel easy no matter how much life changes.
Forever grateful for the miles, the memories, and the girls beside me through it all 🫶🏼 I can’t wait for us to run together one day!

There have only been 2 races (or at least 2 marathons) in my life where I can confidently say that a smile never left my face 😀
The first was @bostonmarathon 2023, and I was just in absolute awe that it was actually happening. It rained nearly the entire time (my fave running weather) and I just remember how surreal the whole experience felt. From the first step in Hopkinton to the final on Boylston, I smiled like a happy idiot for 26.2 miles straight 🦄
The second race was the @londonmarathon a week ago. I was a more experienced marathoner by that point, no longer intimidated by the distance itself, and so I allowed myself to run the entire thing with zero concern for the time on a clock (my watch ⌚️dying at mile 22 helped).
Every step was just pure joy 🤩 and this photo captures it perfectly. It’s nearly impossible not to grin at the iconic sites like Cutty Sark, the London Eye across the Thames, and Big Ben, but this was a relatively quiet stretch toward the end, and my smile was just as big.
Part of me wishes I took more of my own videos and photos along the way (instead of just the ones documenting my Daddy Pig pursuit 🐷) but at the same time, I’m content with the fact that those moments were felt without the distraction of capturing ✨content✨
Anyways, 2 days ago I apologized for the London spam and y’all’s response was amazing. I got so many comments and messages telling me to post away, be proud of my finish, and let it extend a couple weeks if I want.
And I do want, so here’s another 🫶🏼
